Elyse Grossman
Elyse took her first yoga class in Santa Cruz, CA in 1995, looking for something both physically challenging and deeply grounding, and she’s been practicing ever since. Her personal study of yoga grew in San Francisco and Oakland, and she completed her first teacher training in 2014. Yoga has become the heart of her spiritual life, offering a space to be present, steady, and strong in a fast-moving world.
In her classes, Elyse aims to create a supportive space where students can explore physical challenges safely while also connecting to something deeper—offering poetry, quieting the mind, opening the heart, and nourishing the soul. Teaching invites her to stay curious, present, and always learning.
Alongside yoga, Elyse has been a dedicated educator for over 20 years and currently teaches English and yoga at Anacapa School in Santa Barbara, CA. She is also completing her MFT at Antioch University and doing clinical training at the Family Therapy Institute, where she is deepening her understanding of healing and connection. When not teaching or in training, Elyse loves spending time on the trails or at the beach, reading, and being with family and friends.
